MY THOUGHTS:
The gold shoes are looking real "Bakerish". I get what they were going for, but um NO! The styling team was looking for a sparkly color that stood out (not to blend in with her legs) and something strappingly sexy (to show she's a fighter and a fem). I agree with the sparkle, but a darker color would "pop" better than this gold that blends with her artificially tanned legs. Plus, I would add some of that "Rocky" machismo to toughen up the look. My suggestions are:

MY FAVE PICK
This sparkle cutout gives the Pucci dress the kick it needs. The buckle toughens it up, but the sparkle keeps it flashy and feminine. I'd kick some ass any day in these glammed-up boxing stilettos!
Guiseppe Zanotti - Glitter Sandals - $795

2ND OPTION
Guiseppe Zanotti for Balmain - Jewel Detail Shoe - $844

3RD OPTION
Sergio Rossi - Gstaad Back Zip Booties - $1160

Do you prefer the original or like the alternatives better?

MY THOUGHTS:
Her stylist got the right idea about the non-blending by using black. I love lace with the look, butttttttt something looks off. It looks like this outfit and her look were just kinda thrown together. New makeup and new hair would do wonders for this look. What do you think?

MY THOUGHTS:
Pass her the hammer because she hit the nail on the head!!!! It's seductive and feminine, without being nasty and trashy. Loves it!

When I die, I want to die in Pucci!

Everybody has a movie or tv show character that can define their style. At first thought, you’re thinking “No, I don’t”. But ponder for awhile, and I’m sure you can come up with somebody. For me, that movie character is pre-junkie GINGER from CASINO!!!! I bow to designers Rita Ryack and John Dunn for creating this fantabulous armoire of shininess. She’s over the top, shiny, furry, and glamorous. That’s me and I make no excuses for it lol I always wondered why I didn’t look like anybody in my family. I secretly believe it’s because I’m the love child between my mom and Liberace………….

Liberace + Loretta = Lola Luxe, the Diva formerly known as Latrice

As you can see, I prefaced my love for Ginger by differentiating between the pre-and post- crackhead fashion icon. Pre-crackhead=Bob Mackie. Post-crackhead=Gold leather a la Spiegel catalog. Her cokeish demise led her to overdose, die penniless, in some scraggly motel………….nonetheless in Emilio Pucci. You can’t say she didn’t go out in style! I want her closet!!!!!

Love at first sight.....sequins, sequins, sequins

.....and more sequins!

Jewels from Bulgari - Can this be my wedding gift from my hubby?!?!

Hostess with the Mostest
Do you see the other wives salivating in the back? I can't wait! lol

Classy for the courthouse

Who needs a tummy tuck when you look like this?!?!

Reeling him in..........mama needs a new mink...and diamonds....and car;)

Reminds me of green ostrich coats from the infamous 1971 Spring/Summer Yves St. Laurent collection and 2009 Fall Valentino collection

And more fur..............

.....and more fur.

I'm dead........figuratively.........in Emilio Pucci.

Yumi Kim - Brand To Watch

While in New York, I spent a lot of time dipping in and out of some fab boutiques and designer showrooms. While my dear friend Dina was in town, I happened upon Yumi Kim after leaving Chinatown. Her stuff was soooooo cute.............and reasonable. It was towards the end of her summer 2010 season, so she was having some great sales. Her clothes were flirty, feminine, and fun, but not cheap quality (e.g. Forever 21, H&M - love their clothes, but sometimes the cost is soooo not worth the poor quality of materials). My favorite part about her line is that she offers the same patterns in different variations of tops, skirts, dresses, and jumpers. Here are some some pics of Ms. Designer herself and the celebs who rock her line. Check out the piece I bought for my closet!
